Welcome to Tinsel & Co! We create handcrafted timber and acrylic keepsakes, including personalised and made-to-order pieces.
By placing an order through our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before purchasing.
1. Our Products
Each Tinsel & Co product is thoughtfully handcrafted, meaning no two pieces will be exactly alike.
Natural timber may feature variations in grain, colour, knots and texture. Acrylic colours and finishes may also appear slightly different depending on lighting and screen settings.
Minor variations consistent with the nature of handmade products are not necessarily faults. However, all products must meet their descriptions and applicable consumer guarantees.
2. Personalised Orders
Please carefully check all personalisation details before submitting your order, including names, dates, spelling, wording, colours and design selections.
We generally create personalised products using the information you provide or approve.
If incorrect details are supplied or approved by the customer, additional charges may apply to remake the item.
If Tinsel & Co makes an error, or the product does not meet applicable consumer guarantees, we will arrange an appropriate remedy under New Zealand law.
3. Custom Designs & Approvals
Some custom orders may require a digital design preview or customer approval before production.
Where approval is requested, production may begin once you have confirmed the design.
Please carefully review all details before approving your proof.
Changes requested after approval and the start of production may incur additional charges.
4. Pricing & Payment
All prices are displayed in New Zealand dollars (NZD).
Any applicable taxes and delivery charges will be shown before checkout is completed.
Payment must be received before production begins unless otherwise agreed.
We may update our prices from time to time. Price changes will not ordinarily affect orders already accepted and paid for.
5. Production Times
As most of our products are handmade to order, please allow 3–5 working days for production before dispatch.
Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding New Zealand public holidays.
Production generally begins on the next working day after payment and all necessary personalisation details or design approvals have been received.
Detailed or customised orders may require additional time. We will advise you where a longer timeframe applies.
Production time does not include shipping time.
If an unexpected delay occurs, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to discuss the revised timeframe and your options.
6. Order Changes & Cancellations
If you need to change or cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@tinselandco.co.nz.
Personalised and custom-made orders may be cancelled for change of mind before production begins.
Once production has started, we generally cannot accept change-of-mind cancellations for personalised products.
Standard, non-personalised products are covered by our Returns & Refund Policy.
Nothing in these terms affects your rights under New Zealand consumer law.
7. Shipping & Delivery
We currently ship within New Zealand only.
Our standard shipping rates are:
- Urban delivery: $5.00
- Rural delivery: $7.00
- Free shipping on eligible orders of $50.00 or more
Oversized or unusually heavy products may have separate shipping charges, which will be disclosed before purchase.

8. Product Care & Safety
Timber and acrylic products should be handled with care.
Unless otherwise specified, we recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, excessive moisture, extreme heat and harsh cleaning chemicals.
Products intended as decorative keepsakes are not necessarily suitable as toys.
Items containing small or detachable parts should be kept away from young children where they may present a choking hazard.
Please follow any product-specific care and safety instructions provided.
9. Customer-Supplied Artwork & Designs
If you provide artwork, logos, photographs or other material for personalisation, you confirm that you have permission to use that material for the requested purpose.
We reserve the right to decline requests involving unlawful, offensive or infringing material.
If we cannot fulfil your order, we will contact you to discuss the available options, including a refund where appropriate.
10. Intellectual Property
Tinsel & Co products may incorporate commercially licensed designs, templates or artwork, which we adapt, personalise and handcraft into finished products.
The rights to original designs and artwork remain with their respective owners, where applicable. Tinsel & Co retains rights to its own branding, original photographs, website content and any original creative contributions, to the extent permitted by law.
No content or designs may be reproduced or used commercially without the appropriate permission from the relevant rights holder.
11. Returns & Refunds
Our Returns & Refund Policy forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986.
12. Privacy
We collect and handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable New Zealand privacy legislation.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The terms applying to an order will generally be those in effect when the order was placed, subject to applicable law and any changes agreed with the customer.
